Michele Lerici, Senior Vice President, CFO Pirelli Broadband Solutions S.p.A. and Pirelli Labs S.p.A.

Michele Lerici is senior vice president and CFO of Pirelli Broadband Solutions, a company within the Pirelli Group (PECI: MI) specializing in broadband access and photonics solutions for telecommunications operators worldwide, and Pirelli Labs, the advanced research center supporting the Pirelli Group.  With 17 years of international finance and commercial management experience, Lerici oversees all accounting, financial planning, and financial control and reporting as well as the implementation of new business and strategic initiatives.  Lerici also has CEO responsibilities of Pirelli Broadband Solutions' operations in France and Maristel S.p.A.
 
A seven-year veteran of Pirelli, Lerici has held senior-level management positions within the Group including CFO of Pirelli Cavi e Sistemi Telecom S.p.A., sold to Prysmian Cables & Systems in June 2005.  Here he managed all telecom cables activities worldwide and sales offices in 12 countries.  Other positions include controller of the MIRS business unit, a division specializing in robotic-tire production for Pirelli Pneumatici S.p.A.  Lerici entered Pirelli in June 2000.

Prior to joining the Group, Lerici held several finance and management positions within the automotive industry.  He started his career in 1991, working as a controller for Metzeler Automotive Profile GmbH inGermany.

 

Lerici was nominated to the Board of Directors of Alcatel Submarine Network SA in 2005 and has been a member of the Pirelli Board Since 2003. Lerici holds a university degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan.
